Effective July 1, 2025, and pursuant to SB 48 from the 2023 regular session of the Kentucky General Assembly, the Division of Child Support Enforcement under the Cabinet for Health and Family Services shall be reorganized under the Office of the Attorney General and become the Department of Child Support Services. All services currently being provided by both county attorney and state child support staff will remain the same.

Please be aware on Friday, February 21, 2025, the payments received were incorrectly duplicated in the system. As a result of this error, duplicate payments were sent to custodial parents. Kentucky Child Support continues the recoupment of these funds and apologizes for the inconvenience.

Please be aware on Thursday, April 24, 2025, state wage payments were incorrectly reissued causing custodial parents to receive one or more payments in error. If you wish to voluntarily return the overpaid funds, please call 502-564-3963 for additional information, otherwise a recoupment will be set up on your case(s) to retain future payments until the overpayment is satisfied in full.
